"The commandments I give you today must be in your hearts. Make sure your children learn them. Talk about them when you are at home. Talk about them when you walk along the road. Speak about them when you go to bed. And speak about them when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:6,7 (NIrV®)
We have both Nursery and Children's Church during the Worship Service.
Each Sunday directly after Worship in singing, children grades K-5 are dismissed to meet for Children's Church. Children will exit by the door next to the pulpit. The class is held in the upstairs Conference Room next to the church offices. Children will be brought back down to sanctuary during the final worship song and will remain in the front row with their teacher. Families are asked to pick up their children directly after the sevice.
Jesus took a little child and had the child stand among them. Then he took the child in his arms. He said to them, "Anyone who welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me. And anyone who welcomes me also welcomes the one who sent me. Mark 9:36-37 (NIrV®)
The Nursery Ministry at Grace Church seeks to show the love of Jesus to children (infants through kindergarten age) through Christ-like care. Our CORI screened nursery workers provide a safe, secure, nurturing environment for children while leading a time of worship and teaching about the goodness of our God. There is a check in/check out procedure in place for each child and a silent usher system to notify parents if they are needed during the service.
During our Worship Service there is child care available downstairs in the Infant/Toddler room. Infants and children (ages birth to entering kindergarten in September) may be checked in at 9:50 AM or anytime throughout the service as they are welcome to stay for the singing and then be brought down by their parents and signed in. Please do not hesitate to ask an usher or greeter for directions to these areas.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ALL AGES- 10/3/21-6/12/22
Sunday School begins at 11:15 following the morning worship service. The Adult Sunday School class meets in the sanctuary and is taught by Rev. Rick Porter. Middle and high school students meet upstairs in the conference room. Children (N-5) meet downstairs for their classes.
Our Sunday School program for children (N-5) is called, DiscipleLand (www.discipleland.com). Our heart's desire is that our children will "hide God's Word in their hearts". The Scripture tells us that if we, "train up a child when they are young (to know and trust the gospel of Christ) when they are old they will not depart from it." We seek to come alongside parents to nurture life-long, Christ-following disciples.
There are no Sunday School Classes meeting on April 17th.
Our last DiscipleLand Market will be June 12th following the morning worship service.
